Trafford will be putting in a transfer request next summer and I don't blame him Don't give me all the bullshit about staying and fighting for his place etc because clearly we have already made a judgement about him. Of course I am assuming that given that we have now signed the world no1 we will not be conceding any more goals

Depends what you thought his chances were, he was never going to get in ahead of Pickford before the world cup, at best he goes as backup, who are the alternatives for that third spot? Pope? Think he'll still make it even if he only gets cup games.

100% why sign for City to be named number 1, then told you on the bench ? Newcastle wanted him as their number 1 and he would have played and got many england call ups

You're mentioning England call ups a few times like it should matter to us? I personally would prefer none of our players to ever get called up for the national teams in an ideal world

Pickford is a joke keeper and 100% not good enough, Trafford is the best England keeper by far and if he plays in goal for City this season would be England's number 1 for the World Cup

Christ I remember that. Didn't he say something similar about David Silva in the same breath despite Silva being in the WC winning squad that summer?

I distinctly remember him getting called out on that at the time at least and being told it was a gap in his knowledge. Football journalism is fucking embarrassing.

If Ederson had stayed he’d have been No 2 - he needs to battle with Donnaruma now - what’s difficult to understand ? We now have two class keepers
