Tallest floodlights in the league..... :-)

Frightening when you drive round there now you wouldn't know maine roade even existed

I'd did work experience at the club shop in the summer of 98 Janice as with all the other times I met her was very friendly and helpful

I can't bear to go back down Claremont Rd and have a look. Don't want to see Maine Rd with no ground. Too many memories, good and bad. My late Dada took me there when I was 15 and that was it...

Yep, me neither, not been back since the memorial service. Memories with my Dad from that pic like when he took me down there one Saturday am if I recall correctly, we' re in the parking spaces outside the social club where he used to work, out comes Roy Clarke. Didn't realise at the time quite who he was, but he saw my Dad, came over, said hi and gave me his autograph.

Very happy memories, I might just take my girls there one day to see where it all happened, where a bit of their great grandad was scattered and where their grandma grew up.

Lovely lady Janice, used to love popping in there with my young son when I was rained off from work and catch up on nitty grit of what was going on around the club

You've got to love our brilliant club haven't you?

I remember Janice well, always eager to help in the old souvenir shop with a big smile. She held a role at the current store when there was a cafe on the second-floor a few years back, not sure what it was though.

Think it was a ham roll

Remember that well...the fried egg was mine!

Had it in my house for years, must be around somewhere.

Loved the old club shop in the days before superstores I was like a kid in a sweet shop literally wanting this and that. Janice was a lovely lady I do remember her though I don't believe I met Stan. Didn't the shop get 'managed ' by one of the sponsors at the end of the eighties..not sure if it was Phillips or not.

Anyway I've always vowed not to go back to MR because I always treasure my memories of it but I might make an exception now.

i agree she was a lovely woman in the old shop.however i still don't forgive her for not steering me in the right direction to buy a city davy crockett hat.never did own one
