The publisher has told me the book is in stock and pre-orders will be sent on Monday.

So pre-orders will be arriving before the release date. :)

I have asked them all - some are on holiday and some haven't got back to me yet... Sadly! I'm still asking, though. ;)
 
The launch event will now be at The Alexander in Ashton-u-Lyne (the AUL OSC) at 7pm on Thursday 5th June.

We're hoping to get some of the players down, but we've not had any confirm yet.

There'll be a quiz (a lot of the answers will be in the book *ahem*) and highlights of the game, too.
 
Few things I remember from that day were:

turning down some ribeana off my older mates mum for then to be handed a can of stella by mates very older brother and him saying 'good answer now get some of these down ya' it was 530 in the morning on a Ralph Bullocks coach from their depot and i was 15

Russel Watson singing before the game and everyone booing but the guy behind me just screamed 'munich munich munich' till the veins popped out of his head. yet when dickov scored and when we went to penalties he didnt go wild or owt he just stood laughing

Then on the coach home you'd expect the coach to be rocking and everyone celebrating but you'd think we'd lost as everyone was just silent and physically and mentally drained

I've been in touch with the publisher about this - there's been a delay because of a fault in the first batch, so all of the pre-orders haven't been dispatched. The annoying thing is that they'll hopefully be dispatched on the release date (Monday), but it means any second orders and orders for Waterstones and the National Football Museum will be delayed too.

You have my apologies and I've had assurances they'll be sent out asap next week.
