i also wrote to Vicky Kloss and got this response today:
Dear Suey
Many thanks for your email regarding a City of Manchester Stadium “Kippaxâ€. We are very aware of the campaign and are very supportive of an investigation into the possibility of implementing it. There is no question of ignoring fans, especially those who raise well reasoned and impassioned points such as yours. I couldn’t agree more with your point about the Britannia Stadium atmosphere. I was there and it was indeed ear splitting at times!
If you’ll forgive me, I’ll send you a copy of an email I recently sent to the first person to bring it to our attention.
It explains what our intentions are and how we are looking in to the matter.
Since writing the original letter, a group of senior managers has been formed to discuss this, and individually and collectively we are looking at some of the possible obstacles and ways in which they may (or may not be) overcome.)
We will be in touch in due course as we explore the possibilities.
Once again, thanks for the time and effort taken in contacting us. Please see the letter below.
Best wishes

the letter below she refers to is:
Dear ****
(i've deleted the name simply coz the recipient of it might not want there name to be known. Ridiculous I know but you get pulled up for all sorts these days! better to be safe than landed with a lawsuit)
Thanks very much indeed for your email regarding a designated "Home End" at the City of Manchester Stadium.
As a former regular frequenter of the Kippax myself ( and I'm not the only one amongst the Club staff, I can tell you!), I completely understand the thoughts and feelings which have prompted this very well considered letter. The supportive nature and balanced tone of your approach is also greatly appreciated as is the detailed information you have included.
This is an issue which I understand was looked at in quite some depth, firstly when we moved in to the stadium and subsequently when we sought to implement the singing section in Block 111. At that time, many safety issues were raised, including potential problems relating to entry and egress for away supporters, which prevented us from furthering our plans at the time.
However, there is obviously significant support out there for this idea, and whilst I can't give any indication as to the viability of these suggestions at this early stage, I can 100 per cent assure you that the matter will be thoroughly examined and brought to the attention of Club personnel at the highest (board) level. A team of senior staff will be assembled to consider all permutations, including looking at whether any of the objections raised some years ago may be overcome. This may take some time, so please bear with us as we work through this process and consider what, if anything can be done.
You are quite right to highlight Sheikh Mansour and his Abu Dhabi team's desire to retain the values and traditions of our football club and this desire is certainly also shared by the staff here at the stadium.
Thanks again for your approach. We will be in touch in due course.
Kind regards

nice of her to respond. can't see what the need for extensive discussions and forming groups is for though. even taking into account the safety issues and access and egress of away fans- it shouldn't take too long to work out the logisitcs. Anyway, it's a progress of sorts I suppose.
