Give Eastlands its Kippax

I don't think it'd work. The fact the away fans are there triggers a reaction from City fans. Move them and the singing section/south stand would feel lost, IMO.

Maybe put away fans along the top tier of the South Stand, and City fans across the bottom tier. The top tier isn't very deep, a bit like the away section at wolves (though not as bad), so they'd struggle to create a top notch atmosphere. But Im of the opinion that losing the away fans contribution would lose most of city fans contribution

From 1923 to some time in the 1970's, the Kippax held a whopping 30000 fans. THIRTY THOUSAND! That's bigger than half the whole stadiums in the Prem now. In the 80's it had that pit which seperated the home and away fans, it probably held about 20000 fans. In 1994 we lost something special that we never got back. The club has not been the same since. We lost our Liam Gallagher, our Mick Jagger, our Joe Strummer...our front man!

Since we've had the North Stand that held 5-6000 fans. Now we have two little efforts (i know i use that phrase a lot to describe our vocal areas at the CoMS, it's not to disrespect the fans in them areas but the size of them are a complete joke!) either side of the away fans. One bit is three blocks on the bottom tier of the South Stand and the other two+half blocks in the East Stand corner first tier. That equates to about 3000 fans in total. The Family Stand holds 6000, the Colin Bell Stand holds 17000, and the East Stand which was once the famous Kippax and still houses many of the old Kippax fans has become so dull it's just another main stand.

Villa's Holt End holds 14000+, Liverpool's Kop holds 12000+, SheffU's Kop holds 12000+, Newcastle's Gallowgate End holds 9000+, Leeds' Revie Stand holds 7000+, United's St. Retford End holds 18000+, Dortmund's 'Die Südtribüne' holds 25000 for league games when it's standing.............we have spaces for 3000 vocal fans; 3000 compared to 25000 at Dortmund. And anyone who thinks that is a special stand it isn't as big as the 30000 of the Kippax! Imagine being part of the Kippax in football's golden years between the wars where attendances were frequently huge.

I agree but it could still work.
I think we need to put the away fans in the corner of the south stand (either corner) and City fans have the rest of the SS.

What would work great would be if the away fans were moved from blocks 113,114,115 to 110,111,113 (there is no block 112). that way we'd have nearly a full end and the away fans would be out of the way in the corner, but still next to our singer.
Perfecto!

Away fans have lower tier of S/S 113 - 118 and we have upper and wings - surround them!
Obviously we only let the Fulhams and Wigans have 113-115 and fill 116-8 with City.

That way the away coach parking is still in place. The concourse can be blocked off at every block so that isn't a problem.

Well?

I think we should have an area for the miserable ,moaning pricks (probably take up alot of space),and leave the rest of the ground for supporters and away fans.
As someone that lives overseas,i only get to see the games on TV, our away fans are brilliant,at home games a feeling of "why are'nt we 3 up"comes over very strong,by half time.
If only we could have 30,000 like our traveling fans at home,we could rival Lech and Ariss.

I can't believe you just posted this mate, no offence

Why?

It's a beautiful thought, but I think we're gonna need lots and lots of backing from the club. When we tried to organise it our selves, i.e. Wigan, it didn't turn out too well. Maybe a similar away end situation as it is at the Emirates and then we can have the whole South Stand too ourselves. I know we can get 6,000 to create a kippax-like atmosphere.

Away Fans

You can basically put away fan's anywhere you want within reason.
Put them on level 3, just like Newcastle.
Just need the Police presence and a few barriers outside.

Exactly! in the corner like we are at Arsenal would be perfect, the we can have a full stand but the singers will still be next to the away fans.
