"Mark Hughes has spent almost a season and a half at Manchester City, with tremendous support from the club, and has managed to constantly take players and, over this period, make them perform way below the sum of their parts. This is not a sign of a capable manager."

We've lost once this season ;-)

I know that you probably did not mean it this way but unfortunately your post smacks of acceptance of rhe average. ADUG did not buy City to be another club clinging to a mid table position by screwing out draws game after game. Success in the Premiership and Europe is not just about throwing money at a squad of players. It also takes a top class manager and coaches. Until the Chairman realises that we do not have that in place we will continue to stay what we are, a mid table club who spends a fortune on players. Each month with Hughes in charge is another month lost in our progression.
