Given or Hart

I'll get stick here but i think Given flatters to decieve, he makes the point blank shot straight at him look like a wonder save and i'm not fully convinced on his positioning or his ability to stop shots that Hart couldn't. His distribution is equally as shocking as Hart's too; but thats more to do with our four foot attackers than anything else!

I'd like to see Hart "given" a change to challenge, err, Given, this pre season as i believe he could be our number one again.

Given is better goalkeeper than Joe Hart. But that's only because of his experience. Naturally, i think Hart is the better keeper. After a year on loan next season, he should be able to come back to us as shift Given out of his number 1 spot

At first I was dead set against anyone other than Hart, but I cannot argue that Given has been nothing short of excellent. We may have been knocked out of the Uefa cup aready if it wasn't for him.

Given does not contraol the area. He is just a shot stopper, when in fact the shot should never have taken place. Ned was pleading with him to come and get the ball which lead to Fulhams second gaol and he stood motionless. Also Given was patheticaly slow releasing the ball when we were losing. He never throws out for a fast break, allows time for the oposition to line up their defence ready for him to hoof it and our players miss out again. I would put Hart back in goal at the drop of a hat. He is passionate about where he wants to go, Given feels he has done it all already, but where are his medals..??

Ah, someone with this same opinion as me. Hart for me also.

Given and Hart are at the same level most of the time, but when Given is on his game (Boro, Hamburg etc..) it takes a lot to beat him.

Absolute nonsense.
"Where are his medals"?
How many do you think you'd win at such high-achievers as Blackburn,Swindon,Sunderland,Barcodes and us?
Gordon Banks in his heyday would struggle to keep a clean sheet with any of that lot.

given anyday..hart is/will be great but id have shay in there over joe

like others have said it may be hard to be a world class keeper with whats bloody in front of you!
