Glass Tunnel now taking shape

Whats the point in expanding to over 80k when we cant always fill what we have? Give me 45000 full every game and Ill be happy. Sick of seeing empty seats at every match.

Hmmmm

Nearly every single league game sells out. Any empty seats are just from people who haven't turned up. Those same empty seats would be there no matter what the capacity was.

The club are also putting 6000 new low cost seats in the North Stand. It's things like the tunnel club that will pay for this expansion as the club won't be making any money back on 6000 cheap seats any time soon.

Hmmm indeed.

It looks great and if they do match by match tickets i will definitely be experiencing this as a one off.

It would be nice though if some of this money went to improving the real match day experience, food, drinks and affordable tickets.

The video promo is doing the rounds on Facebook. Is an entire block of fans in the Colin Bell stand making way for this new area? It looks tragic.

I hate this and everything it represents another step away from the loyal supporters that have supported this club for decades. All they seem to care about are the day trippers spending cash at the city store and bringing in the corporate suits!
Would those loyal supporters be the 21000 of us there in 1987 or the 19000 there the following year? There's plenty of room for those of us who've supported this club for decades. If a few people want to pay a few quid extra for food, drink and a glass tunnel, thus enabling my ticket to not go up by too much, good on them.

Agree with you. They dont give 2 hoots about the average die hard supporter. Its turning into a club for the rich boys. Its really sad whats happening to City-its more about external glamour than success on the field. How are we are able to create any kind of atmosphere in the ground when more and more of this rich shit rubbish is being pushed on us. Is it suprising the atmosphere is close to nothing. The priorities are all wrong. City will not be the ppls club much longer.
Oh do fuck off please? The game, infrastructure, marketing and everything else that comes with it has changed - and changed quite a few years before we became successful.

I'm one of those 'die hard' fans from the pre Colin Bell era, but I'm certainly not naive enough to expect that this club could still be competitive whilst maintaining the self deprecating stance that we had many years ago. I still hope we try and maintain some of that, but to expect mediocrity as some kind of 'self-entitlement' is gonna leave you sorely upset. You either embrace it, or fuck off the club that you supported for years (and presumably told people you would always support - thorugh hell and high water). At the end of the day, it's your choice you know?

You're wrong
I've been there since 62, my daughter since 91, and we've been told they don't know where we'll be or whether we'll be together.

A block and a half

Which is a block and a half too many. Will they try and soften it by giving you an exclusive window to relocate within?

I'm considering sacking it off before too long. I'm in 211 and can't be bothered with being shunted again like I was from 216. I don't like where I sit now.

I asked what availability there was and was offered front row of level 1 or back row of level 3
What is really fucking annoying is that there were five spare seats where my wife sits but they sold them on and then told us we would have to move a month later.

Just sing if you want an atmosphere. The bigger blockers are the arms folded bunch in the singing section and the puffer jacketed to cool to chant mob in 110.
