Glass Tunnel now taking shape

I asked what availability there was and was offered front row of level 1 or back row of level 3
What is really fucking annoying is that there were five spare seats where my wife sits but they sold them on and then told us we would have to move a month later.
Some of the comments on this thread descend into absurd Luddism, but that is both disgraceful and inconsiderate from the club, mate. Fully understand why you're so hacked off.

Indeed. Front row of level 1 or back row of level 3 is a fucking piss take. I refuse to believe they're the only available options and surely the club can offer something better.

As for the tunnel itself, if fans weren't impacted by having to move to far inferior seats then I wouldn't have any real issue with it. If someone wants to pay a fortune for such an experience then who am I to argue? And if a side effect is that it helps keep our ticket prices elsewhere in the stadium in check then I have no real issue with it.

The club do get things wrong from time to time, e.g.: ticket prices for PSG at home last season, plus moving fans around like this, and at times like that it absolutely needs pointing out to them, but they're not as hell bent on driving out the traditional support as some people think. If that was the case, they wouldn't have been so accommodating in allowing the new singing section, and they certainly wouldn't be open to the idea of safe standing and considering making the proposed new North Stand expansion into a far bigger singing/atmosphere section than the one we already have.

Completely agree, pal. The club is far from perfect and need to be robustly told by us supporters when it's falling short.

Whats the point in expanding to over 80k when we cant always fill what we have? Give me 45000 full every game and Ill be happy. Sick of seeing empty seats at every match.
Subtlety not your strong point.

Just gone through your posting history and if you're a blue then I'm a banana.

Yep. I will add that there are no doubt people employed by the club who are out of touch with the traditional fanbase but there are also some that are fantastic to work with. We have a great relationship with those that we deal with on a regular basis when planning displays, etc, in the South Stand and I'd even go as far as to say we are given far more leeway to do what we want compared to fan groups at many other PL clubs. They've put the block on a couple of things but I'd say that was more to do with issues regarding general health and safety than being killjoys.

A block and a half of Blues should not be forced to relocate or fork out presumably far more dough to remain due to corporate hospitality. The gentrification is an aggressive cancer spreading around City and I, for one, despise it.

I have no issue at all about the club improving facilities and moving on. However the treatment of the fans who are going to be moved is a disgrace.
About two months ago the people on the back row were scattered around the stadium with three days notice.

I'd had no idea this had happened. Small fan communities evolve in pockets of the ground and now they're destroyed to accommodate the fortunate few.

I'm yet to read it but I understand a new survey hints at Champions League relocations for 211. It's all very vague.

Aren't they building another 6,000 'cheap' seats?

Yep
Mate on the back row got a phone call from city on the Wednesday to say his seat and been removed for the game Saturday and for the rest of the season.
He asked where they were going to.put him for the already sold out games against Barca, Chelsea and Arsenal. There was silence on the end of the phone.

I'm not sure planning ahead, taking into consideration the impact on fans, is there strong point.

Now we have a one way system where the row was, and an extra passage outside that could have been used in and out, instead of just out, with the row the way in!
