Glass Tunnel now taking shape

No real surprise.
It was obvious to anybody with half a brain this would be the end result. Same as the fiasco in Glasgow.
Sadly the club don't seem to have anyone with any brain cells.
Deactivating thousands of seasoncards and tellling people less than 24 hours before was always going to cause chaos.
Still its only the common fans inconveniences not the tourist/corporate type so I doubt city will lose too much sleep over it.

The pizza I had today was absolutely lovely. Walked to the bog at half time - had to wait about 3 seconds for the bloke to zip up his fly was starting to get angry but stayed calm. 2 people in front of me when getting the pizza and bottle of Fanta for the kids! Took about 4 minutes in the queue. Biggest nightmare for me today was parking in asda. Had to as was running late due to a christening. Took an age to get out!! Not doing that again - will take the point.

Just out of interest to those in 127 - I am assuming it is the block behind the home dugout. By far the biggest problem in that block if I have got the correct one is the dickhead with the grey long hair who thinks every game is a pantomime. Sat near him many times! Painful.
Think I saw him on the concourse today, giving huge grief to the H&S steward about a fire exit site that wasn't lit up.. ffs.

Big ugly bastad with big nose and centre parting long hair a scarf and red face about 50? Wish I was that steward.

That's him!
To be fair, the steward wiped the floor with him, quoting BS standards etc, but the tit started taking photos of the sign saying he's reporting it as he's concerned about safety in a evacuation..

@worsleyweb
Perhaps you need to take it up with Mr Cheeseman, is he a liar too?

Hopefully the daft twat will get banned. Spoke with someone working on the glass wall at the game. Short term pain long term gain. Significant changes to the whole configuration of the west stand at level one over the next twelve months.

Next season all the people where you sit will use the area within the wall won't they plus further office areas within the west stand which are being removed. So we are reconfiguring our ground. You have sat in an incredible seat for probably 700 for ten years. The club have decided that for the best seats in the stadium they should offer a better experience. Next year if you want to sit there you can if you pay more. If not you will have to move. It was inevitable as our capacity expands to 62,000 and eventually to 76,000 that the club need to have a business model which pays for expansions which requires corporate income to pay for the cheaper seats. It is a fact. Do you think you are entitled to sit in the best seats in the ground forever for 700 quid? I know the club in the newly expanded north stand will offer thousands of cheap seats. This stand will cost upwards of 60 million pounds. Do you know how many years of 300 pound season tickets it will take to pay that off? We don't have idiots running out club in spite of what you think. You may have to move to 125 or 124 etc of you don't want to pay more. Harsh but true. The club make good money from the corporate tickets in spite of some of the bullshit spoken on here.

He should try sitting in the front half of 105 where you can't understand a word from the tannoy. When the announcement went out that the BMG game was off, we all just looked at each other with a "what was that one?" kind of face. Once the other home areas started emptying we got the message. It wasn't anything to do with the ground being mostly empty, we can't understand a word when it's full.

It's been like that for two or three years, it's been mentioned to stewards who just shrug like they do when you ask why are your feet in an inch of water every game although it hasn't rained for a month.

On the plus side everything's great, trenchfoot and no chance of knowing when to evacuate the ground in an emergency aren't important in the grand scheme of things, obviously.

Security checks were extra vigilant today. Maybe there were some concerns?

That will become the norm rather than an exception. At the swamp even on non match days you get frisked, searched and scanned if you want to go into any parts of the stadium. That applies to everyone including people that work there.

Looks like all the employees going to City from United are starting to have an influence.

Not sure they were extra vigilant, they were at best random before half two, then they totally stopped when it got busy. I had a large (daren't say massive) bunck of keys in my pocket with a zippo lighter and no reaction whatsoever from the wand, either it wasn't looking for a large metal mass, or the batteries were shot.
