Glastonbury 2022 (Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar headlining)

More likely those who don’t attend are more bitter and feel the need to pick holes out every well known artist

I watched a bit of McCartney stuff on iPlayer last night when I got home. I think it was live (from just after Springsteen left the stage). The atmosphere seemed very good. The crowd looked massive.

McCartney's voice is pretty shot though. I've seen him a few times live and his voice has continued to deteriorate but the guy has a few tunes and his band are excellent. They did a great job on Bruce's Glory Days. I went back and watched the songs with Bruce and Dave, who happen to be two of my 3 top live acts still going.

The other member of that top 3 is the Rolling Stones, who I saw in person at Hyde Park yesterday. Have to say that Mick Jagger was in better voice than Macca and he is nearly as old and had Covid last week. He also still covers more ground than Bernado Silva.

Mick made a comment before one song about young up and coming English acts playing this weeked (Elton John, Paul McCartney and The Stones).

Age has had the Stones hit a slightly more laid back groove these days but what a set list. It's a joy to still be able to see these legends deliver classic after classic, we won't see the like again and should enjoy it while we can, even they have lost somehting to age.

Oh, and live rock music is never as good on the small screen as being there in person.

Ha ha, although talking a load of bollocks, Lenny Henry has managed to trigger Le Jambon Fúmes who also hate Greta and anyone playimg who doesn't own a guitar
