Glastonbury 2023

To each their own, I just couldn't enjoy Guns R Roses at all. The Pretenders on the Park Stage were much better than them and the crowd for the headliner in comparison didn't seem all that excited for a metal band.

Foo Fighters still winning the weekend for me as it stands.

Am actually complementing the Beeb on something and thats how well they are covering the other stages, and not just the Pyramid Stage, as well as on the iPlayer you can virtually walk from one stage to another (or switch over).

Queens of the Stone Age will be a good one.
 
AM didn't scan well onto the TV I am told and they haven't spoken to one person who didn't enjoy them.

I thought the same until I went to my first festival. It's great way to see a lot of bands for a decent amount of money. Can end up watching 40 live acts for £250/300. Plus if you get the weather and like camping can be a great 3 or 4 days. Ditched Download for the CL final which I don't regret but when my missus came back with photos and videos of the weekend I knew I'd missed a hell of a show. Just boils down to how much you love live music I guess. I'd much rather go to see a band I like live than say City vs Brentford if my wallet won't stretch to both.
 
tbf I'm enjoying GnR, seems to be having some mic issues when he goes off on a wander.

But his screaming on Welcome to the Jungle can't have been easy at his age.

The opening guitar tease was great as well.

Though anybody expecting them to be 1990s GnR is just being a tad silly :)

Why did Paul McCartney?

Best ask the people who book them, I'm enjoying it more than the Artic Monkeys gig that's for sure, they were shit (imo) and sounded like a house band from Vegas.

Though can't be arsed with a load of back and forths about it lol

Yeah sorry mate that wasnt directed at you more into the ether! Iv met the organisers years ago and I said the same thing to them! There's so much quality music out these days in my opinion a bigger range and more artists than ever before so it would be so easy to choose modern headliners
