Miserable Scouse geriatric looking on.... Now that's how to headline the pyramid
He did the right thing in getting the guests out of the road and left the final part of the set for his best of.Neither am I, I got a bit bored with the "guests" at one point, but he was great.
Chances of getting that band back together though?Black Lace?
Jive Bunny?Black Lace?
Aye the Glastonbury crowd would join in with two songs.lol.Now that would be ace!
Over to you Noel Gallagher… Get it sorted
Thing is , his songs have popped up over my life and some of them have stuck - don't consider myself a fan either, but, that extended version of rocket man was superb - brilliant set.Great set and i'm not a fan.
They originally turned it down in the late 80's I think and then never got asked. Dave Gahan has said recently that they are now on speaking terms...so...watch this space. Trouble is they tour for a year and a half, rest for 2 and then record...4/5 year cycles. So it would have to be next year...Would love it but haven't they turned it down in the past? Be sad for them to do it without fletch but reckon they've got one more epic gig in them.
I suppose for a band not playing Glastonbury is like being Harry Kane. They originally turned it down in the late 80's I think and then never got asked. They were superb at Maine Road.Funnily enough I never thought Oasis were a great live act, their Glastonbury set in 2004 was shite and they've admitted themselves that they've never really pulled it off as festival headliners.
I reckon they could do a good job now though because I think if they reformed and played Glastonbury, it would be highly anticipated and they have plenty of hits. It's not like theyre an active band 10 years past their prime and promoting some shite album like they were for the back half of their career.
I think if they did it now, it would be in a very different context and really good as long as they didn't sound awful
That isn't a bad shout -Fun game. Madonna?
Haha, I bet he's never played there either.I suppose for a band not playing Glastonbury is like being Harry Kane.
