Glastonbury 2023

As much as I like their music I dont think they would suit Glastonbury. Dont know how relatable they are to many people under 40.

Would be surprised if they new anything more than Another Brick In The Wall, maybe Money and if they are into playing guitar possibly Comfortably Numb, but thats about it.

To be fair mate the 40's and even the 50's are well represented at Glastonbury now.

Maybe because they are less relevant two decades later?

I don't know , I don't think they were actually that relevant in 2004, obviously they were still massive in terms of fanbase but they weren't really seen as "cool" at the time and there was a new wave of guitar music that young people were into and it was a bit embarrassing to say you liked Oasis around the mid 2000s if you were a young lad into the newer bands. You know how trends are. Like how the punk scene would dismiss the 60s and 70s rock bands.

but at this point they would be an nostalgia act which is ok for festivals. But in 2004 they were still an active band past their best. It wasn't really highly anticipated it was just another big band playing at Glastonbury who were not quite as good as they were a decade earlier.

I think right now it would be a far more anticipated show than their 2004 slot, simply because its a reunion and the feeling towards them will be much different.

Back after another brilliant 5 days, there really is nowhere else like it…the vastness of the site and amount of things to see and do is ridiculous, Blossoms/Rick Astley, Elton and Foo Fighters were all fantastic.

A lot of City shirts on show this year, mostly the 98/99 Wembley shirt and the 22/23 home shirt

Would be close, but don't think so. Not many others is there
Fuck me Mark, take the glasses off! Pink Floyd, proper reunion would outsell Oasis 10-1. Easily.

As I've said, happy to see an Oasis reunion, Missus would go mental and it would cost me an arm and a leg but would be well worth it. I'd love to see it. But the world and his Wife would want Floyd tickets.

The Verve pulled it off years ago so why would Oasis fail to do.
Brit Pop was huge at it's peak, see no reason why Oasis would fail at Glastonbury.
If the bang average at best for fighters and QOTSA draw the crowds Oasis would shit all over them.
I'm not an Oasis fan boy but they were huge at the time and any reunion will have all the festivals trying to have them headlining next year.
