Two things:
1. Shots on goal mean fuck all if they don't pose a threat. Now if it was a lack of clear chances we were talking about, that's a different matter, but I think we created plenty today and just failed to put them away. One of them Tevez's fault - or a failure of the team to gel yet, when Milner put one across the face of goal in the first half. Barry also conspired to miss a one on one in the first half.
2. We have Kolarov to come back who will be able to carve open defences ala Jonno, and Balotelli, who's likewise very creative and also a potent finisher. They will make a difference to the chances being created and the chances being converted. For now, we're 2nd in the league (with nobody with games in hand) with a team playing below par, that's surely something to be pleased about.
