All joking aside. Yesterday's performance was as good as it gets. If you are a City fan & you are not happy with yesterday I think you need help. It was a perfect performance.

Obviously everyone was happy, he never said he wasn't. when we take our foot off the gas:

1 we concede
2 we don't score

I don't know why people are getting on the OP's back. Spurs were absolutely SHITE yesterday and if we wanted to we could have matched their 9 goals at WHL against Wigan two years ago. Goal difference could definately be a factor at the end of the season but we eased off once we got to 4-0. No team should ever ease off. We should have show them no mercy and fucking truly embarrassed them. And this isn't a reaction to the United score, I said "why the fuck are we easing off?!" as soon as we started to during our game, before United even kicked off.

Of course, I'm delighted with the win and performances all over the pitch from the players but we should never, ever, ease off in games. Ultimate fucking punishment should be dished out at all costs to win the league. Chelsea scored an 8, a few 7's and a number of 6's when they won the league the other season. We should never hold back. We should be ruthless mother fuckers whenever we can be.

No performance is ever perfect. Never!

Pep Guardiola makes a point of having a word with his players on the pitch about what they've done wrong in the game, even after cup final wins. The best isn't good enough, you have to be better than your best. If you're not there is room for improvement. It's tough at the top, no holding hands and skipping around after a great win. Ask the South Africa rugby union team. They weren't aloud to celebrate their Tri-Nations win, nor their World Cup win in 2008. They were only aloud to celebrate after they won the test series against Britain+Ireland a year later. They won the lot in the end. But there's no room for wankig off over little things. Fucking ultimate focus and destruction will only do.

We're no longer aiming for promotion, top half, top six, top four, top three... we're aiming for NUMBER ONE!

NUMBERS ONE know how shut up shop and when do it.

i watch all barca's games and most of that are all done of shut up shop and tiki taking to conserve energy
try watching a few English Premier league games because a side that doesn't often shut up shop has won it quite a few times.

TBH i also watch a lot of premier league football but unlike someone I do not have any kind of veneration for baconface, Fortunately, my brain is not washed from Redtop and in Europe baconface is considered a nice old loser. he has played more CL (20 ? )than anyone and always with a strong team and yet he only won it a couple of times and both time in a casual way. hardly a good tactician.

so why does the most successful manager the premier league has had insist his players play the full 90 mins at full tilt despite having a paper thin squad ?
It's why he's been in his job for 25 years and won all that he's won. And it's exactly why all other managers in the world end up getting the sack! Never ever show any signs of weakness or mercy, ever! The game finishes when the whistle is blown, not when you get enough breathing space between you and your opposition!

That's pretty much what this thread is about, for those that think it's about City not being entertaining.

3rd:

Yaya's marking on their goal was horrible, no two ways about it.

We did take our foot of the pedal. No two ways about that either.

Entertaining game? Only an idiot would claim it wasn't. Fantastic performance? Yep.

Nothing wrong with trying to improve despite a fantastic result. I don't see anyone bitching at Nasri for saying that today's result was good, but it's only the beginning of the season. That's what professionals do, always try and improve.

The OP makes a valid point. Has nothing to do with being hard to please.

However it is embarrassing that we took our foot off the gas for the final 30 seconds or so

He's not on about the last 30 seconds, he's on about 70 mins plus and then we walked throught them at 90, can you read!

THOSE SLAGGING THE OP OFF ARE BEING PATHETIC

You're twisting his opinion to make it something he didn't even say

Apparently he "wasn't entertained" or "he's a rag." Stop being so childish. Even if you don't agree with him it doesn't mean he can't have an opinion, if your mate said that in the pub you wouldn't overreact like on this forum.

Some of you seem to think that somebody saying an idea that would nothing but improve our goal difference is slagging him off!!

If Man U played before we did I'm sure others watching the game would have been thinking "just a few more while they are defenseless! They're crumbling so don't take your foot off!"

That's why Fergie didn't tell the team to slow down, he wanted GOALS and goals are what WIN LEAGUES, but some on here think that if somebody is wanting more goals to increase the chances of winning the league is a rag.

If we do lose out to the title to those c*nts by 1 goal then we might all realise that... WE SHOULD'VE GOT 2 MORE GOALS WHEN IT WAS HANDED ON A PLATE.

Now some pathetic looser is going to quote this and put "rag" or a sinking boat because they think differently and want to increase the chances of winning the league.

Some people on here are great and will speak to people as if they were mates, some are embarrassing and think we're currently the greatest team in the world and anyone who thinks the team could improve is having a go at city and/or is a rag.

I wonder how long it is until some posters on here become like the posters on RAWK or Ragcafe.

Oh and I know "it's the 3rd game" and I was "entertained" but at the end of the season it all counts and we're only trying to think of ways to IMPROVE!

Are you thick! we lost out to second on GD last season, the season earlier it was 1 point between man u and chelsea. It get's very tight up there!
Wots childish bout askin the OP if he were not entertained ?

You were taking the piss and being sarcy. Of course he enjoyed it but there was a spell where we could have put the same effort in and got 3 more and increasing our chances
...how was i takin the piss ?

I hear wot he's sayin buh' in my personal opinion compared with same match last term i were very impressed, pleased, satisfied and very much entertained with our overall performance havin been there to see it Again.

The '3 more' don't cut it, this is our Bobby Manc not mystic friggin Glen !

Those that played knew the script, read the match very well indeed and played their part, those on the bench imo can only take it as a boost when it's time for em to also step to the plate.

The flow of the match dint need changin in the last 30 minute furlong as the match was pretty much won already and respondin to their one n' only goal in the way we did is hardly takin a foot off peddle is it ! ? !

We are three game's in, the unity and bondin is so clear to see at this early stage, i have not been disrespectful to the OP within this thread.

I'm shocked that so far in the season, we've only got a GD of +9. That's only winning a game by 3 goals on average. What rubbish am I paying my money to see here?! I mean, if we keep that up, we'll only finish the season with GD of +114. Sort it out, City! BOOOOO.
