Was chatting to an American one night in the White Hart in Cheadle, he was over working at the now gone BaE factory in Woodford. He was alright, but couldnt drink properly and got a little gobby. He was telling me how great the USA was which is cool and then bizarrely went onto to tell me how great the history was.

I pointed out of the pub window and told him that church there was built before the USA existed and this pub is 100 years older than the church. He got a cab home.

Hell I sound like a scouser...istree.

Afghanistan will be retaken by the Taliban the moment we leave. Obama is just a pawn in a series of pawns.

We knee-jerked after 9/11. The country wanted revenge and we got it. Unfortunately that revenge came at a huge cost. We acted before thinking and in the end, when we do finally leave nothing in that country will have changed much.

I stand up for my country all the time, but unfortunately here the hate is justified. Even more embarrassing that we treat the UK and other allies as basically our thralls and allow them virtually no independence in their foreign affairs.

The Americans have us to thank for being the super power they are today

The amount of money we gave them for supplies made them the super power.

I also think we had to share some of our technology with them such as radar in order for them to give us some supplies.

Scousers and Cockneys have had far worse reviews on this forum. The Russians were getting slagged to fuck not so long since, much much worse than anything said on this thread.
