I played Carnoustie a few years back in atrocious conditions, the rain was damn near horizontal. I don’t think we got to the back nine before three us stopped recording the score. I’d love to go back and play it in these conditions although for an amateur it still has to be right up there as one of the toughest you’ll come across.
