G430?The new Ping driver is getting rave reviews, but sod paying 600 quid for it!
I got one last April for approx £480 (winnings from my account in the Pro's shop), and I haven't looked back.
It's superb. I've gained 10-20 yards on my old Titleist driver (917) and I'm straighter.
If you've got the dosh, buy one.

Yeah, but it's a new one called the Max 10k, supposed to be even more forgiving. They are claiming it's the first driver with an MOI of over 10, which is a measure of resistance to twisting on off centre hits. TaylorMade have also released a driver with an MOI of 10, so it looks like being the 'next big thing'.G430?

I used to have a G400 Max, which had an MOI of nearly 10 and it was very forgiving, just not quite as long as the newer stuff.

That was a close shave!I’ve never paid that for a golf outer layer so I opted for a Footjoy Gillet
Never really bought into the technology side of the game although I play a Callaway Mavrik driver which is a couple of years old.

Cant imagine there would be many courses open in the Manchester area this weekend, soon be spring though and a full season to disappoint myself all over again :)
