Good watch brands

Blimey roy, bit harsh.
Would it kill you to post another pic?
Lol
That’s not the reason. Check his previous posts on this thread before. He called me names for no reason when I first posted this thread and I am pretty sure his question here was condescending. So fuck him.

Fair do's then. As you were fella :-)

A big thank you for all the help and gentle nudging back on to the road of sense. For anyone remotely interested, I went for a nice new Breitling Superocean Heritage II Chrono.

I can’t remember being this excited for a birthday present in ages.

Lovey lovely watch that mate.
Comes with a 5 year warranty as well for total peace of mind.

Wear it in good health and enjoy it.

Haha, I come into this thread excited about the nice Armani watch I bought from a pawn shop, and it's clear that 23 pages later I'm so far out of my depth that I may as well have strapped a sundial to my wrist!!

Some gorgeous watches here, you guys have made my targeted ads so much more classy so thank you very much!

Amazing watch. Looks gorgeous. Does it come with day-date or just date?
Either way looks beautiful.

If you like it mate, that's all that matters.
Too many watch snobs imo (not on here thankfully)
Many a watch addict (including me) had a so- called "fashion watch" as their first piece. It's often the first step on that slippery slope!

Good solid choice that . I had the non chrono version in black .
Id also get a matching leather strap to change it up every now and again . The OEM Breitling straps are excellent .

Same pal haha. Going to stick with my Hilfiger and casio for now.

One day, one day..

So true.

One of my favourite watches that I still wear now is a Citizen Blue Angels watch that I got for under £200 in a sale.
Gorgeous watch, sets the time itself via the atomic clock so is always accurate to 1/1000000 of a second, and charges by light so never need a battery.

You don’t have to spend a lot to find a watch that is perfect for you.

I've seen that citizen, it's impressive tech, especially given the price. Great watch. In fact citizen make some brilliant tool watches. I've got an early analogue chrono. It's the only chrono i've owned that uses the main second hand as the 1/60 timer. So when it's engaged the hand whizzes round the dial once a second. Childish I know, but my tag f1 doesn't even do that, at 10 times the price. Proves you dont need to spend a lot to get something interesting.

Great shout. I ordered the leather strap about five minutes after the Mrs confirmed she’d got me the watch!

Get yourself a good quality spring bar tool. Bergeon is my weapon of choice.
You might want to consider a watch winder as well, although not essential.

Also done! I don’t fuck about me, I love the whole research and choosing side of things. Especially when it’s an area I’ve never taken much interest in.

I’m currently doing the same now on small SUV’s and two weeks ago it was fridges and ovens (got one with a nice rotisserie) and the first half of the year it was golf clubs.

A sundial is a great shout, no winding required :-)

Omega seamaster chronograph, early version, not the later type with the coloured buttons. Get a good one from a reputable dealer, with box and papers. Well under budget and prices are rising.View attachment 20390
I'm not really materialistic and I can't justify the price of a new one but that is a really nice time piece there mate. My favourite watch in this thread. Just wondering how much that particular watch would cost second hand?

I also really like the Breitling that @SWP's back is getting.
