Goodbye from Edin

It's weird because I've really not been that arsed about the whole Edin leaving and think it's the best for both parties.

Still that open letter is possibly the only good touch he's ever had during his time with us!

Good luck to the lad.

What a nice way to say goodbye.
A true gentleman.
His goals for us helped shape our history.
Lets hope we don't get dicked by him in the CL!

Quite a few posters on here , me included , have given Edin stick from time to time , usually in the heat of the moment , straight after a game , but if you look at his contribution over the 4 seasons , he has usually stepped up to the plate , in the big games , and he has scored quite a few very important goals. Hope he has great couple of seasons at Roma , also the comments on this thread shows the class of some of our supporters , we are not bitter when a player decides to move on , Milner , Dzeko , Jovetic etc have all left on good terms , and with our good wishes.Maybe the mourners and villa fans should take a leaf our of our book , and direct their hate at their owners who are failing to invest in their clubs , rather than players who have decided to leave their clubs ,because they show absolutely no ambition.

One of those players that has played a huge part in our success in both cup competitions and title wins. The issue with Edin is that he needs to be the main man and play every week. He will at Roma.

Still think the fee is pathetic and a poor deal for city - even Jordan Rhodes who is shite has a bigger price tag. Poor work by txiki. But good luck in the future.

Worst management ever was Mancini (who I loved by the way) dropping him after he scored 4 goals v Spurs. Like I say when Edin was on fire he had to play.

Not even Edin's farewell thread can go without fooking haters.
Your best ever touch would be if you stop writing on this thread dickhead.

As many have said on here, he scored many important goals for us, but sometimes it`s the right time to move on.

Many players in recent years have made major contributions to our growth. Gareth Barry, Joeleon Lesscot and many others early on.

But all have moved on.

Good luck Edin and thank you for playing you`re part in our great club.

Compare these tributes to Dzeko with the way the scumbags carry on when one of their 'heroes' decide they don't want to be there anymore. Clueless and classless. Everyone that leaves them immediately become shit!!!!

Good luck Edin and thanks for everything.

Class act. Always rated edin. Yes he wasn't the best with the ball at his feet but he was a goalscorer pure and simple. Will be interesting if his replacement will score as much as him in his time here.
