Absolutely gutted his first half of the season went so poorly with us, thought this was going to be the year. Could have been great for us for counterattacking football, and using his creativity to break down the teams that are tough nuts to crack. Going to miss those hard low shots from outside the box that A) make defences think twice about sitting so far back, and B) have a chance for a rebound (Lopez immediately goal comes to mind). Understand that we couldn't take a chance on him with other strikers in form. He wasn't really clicking with the team this year on the field, but was best when paired with Tevez. Sad that he is going, but this is professional football, onwards and upwards!

Overall assessment of Balotelli: A talented player who won't pander to crowds or the media, and wants to project a strong image. Not always going to be a fan favorite...but keeps you tuning in.

I will be honest, I'm pretty gutted.

Me too. He was fun and he's going to be fucking brilliant. And we'll all be watching him do it for someone else because he was never going to get a fair crack either at this team or in this league. True shame.
