Juventus after him now as well

Sad to see him go and I have a real concern that this will hurt us in the run in. Why sell now unless we have someone lined up? Would love to see Guidetti step up but a big risk for me in potentially high pressure games when we need goals. Next year should be his

Anyway, I am a bit gutted to see Mario go. Thanks for the memories
He did nothing for us in the run in last year

if we get rid, we are losing a global star which brings much recognition to the club, but the fact is, he doesnt play well enough for us, his performances of late and too often are abject to say the least. getting rid is the best thing for us imo
From a fans' point of view, who gives a fuck about that? Who cares if some kid in the middle of nowhere hears of 'Manchester City' or not? A player, again from a fans' point of view, should be bought to deliver completely and solely on the pitch. If he does that AND spreads the name of the club through his latest shit hair cut well that's by the by but first and foremost is a players' ability on the pitch and like you rightly point out at the end of your post, Balotelli hasn't done enough in that respect.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

The lad has not delivered on his potential, end of. We live in a league where results have to be good from the very start. Lose or draw just a handful of games, and you can kiss goodbye to any championships. We cannot afford to "carry" any players, particularly a striker, they HAVE to deliver (include Edin in this, unless he quickly starts ripping up trees, I don't see him in sky blue next season).

I will still miss Mario tho, the game needs characters like him. It would be pretty shit if it was just populated by such types as Dutch rapists and Granny shaggers. If Mario does go, I wish him all the best for the future.

Re: Goodbye Mario?

If we receive any decent offer for the likes of Mario then we will sell. Its hard to go out in the summer for players like Cavani whilst still having 4 top strikers on our books so if the chance comes around to offload some then the club will surely take it.

For me it will be a thank you Mario, for the Wink, The Why Always Me, and the pass to Aguero. Plus the profile around the world he has helped build up (mostly non footballing reasons) for the club.

But the guy is 22 years old, not 17 or 18 and just has not lived up to his potential with us and i just cant see him ever changing so for me if we get an offer, lets offload him and his wages to free up a spot ready for the summer

Mario is being guided through the Carrington door and ready to fly to the land of meatballs and pizza.

If this allows us to pursue a cavani/falcao then I'm all for it. I can't help thinking though that Tevez.and Dzeko should be the ones to depart.

Mario is the one with the youth, talent and future prosperity. Not to mention global status as a shirt seller and brand appeal.

I think the media's branding of Balotelli's ineffective and immature attitude has loosened a few screws in the heads of our hierarchy and if true, feels like a rushed and naive sale.

Just how deluded can some City fans be?
Youth: If he's not shown his full potential by now he's never gonna show it.
Talent: On very rare occassions he has shown it - but far to few and far between. Basically he is bone idle prima donna
Global Staus: he makes us a laughing stock around the world.
Shirt Seller - possibly.
Brand Appeal: Always 100% negative - not the brand appeal we need or are looking for.
How you can rate this imposter over Tevez is truly beyond belief.
