Re: Mario rebuffs the Sun!

I think most of us love Mario for his contribution over the past couple of years. Never a dull moment, infuriating at times, childish, frustrating, stupid and some flashes of pure class. Ultimately those flashes of class were too infrequent but I bet he gets a standing ovation the next time he plays at the Etihad. The talent is there and I hope he fulfills it. Good luck Mario and thank you for the good times.

If another foreign player mentions the weather(and food), I'm going to scream.

It's f***ing raining again and I'm sick to death of Fish and chips. ;-)

TBF they do have a point, but it does get boring hearing the same line(s) trotted out everytime.

BTW, the weather in Milan ain't that great. Especially during the Winter months.

Let's see what the Sun prints tomorrow.

He was training in sunshine with shorts on yesterday.

For me, Italian cuisine is the finest in the world.
Like you find when you go on holiday there, it's not quite the same at an Italian restaurant in England

Re: Mario rebuffs the Sun!

What does come across is the work that Galliani put in to make this transfer happen. He says it is one of the most complicated transfers he's ever been involved in, how he's had sleepless nights during the negotiations, how he's made changes to the squad to free up the resources to bring Mario in. It just shows if a club really wants a player and makes him feel really wanted it can be made to happen. It's this sort of approach that we need to adopt when we are going after players in the summer.

Mario - Not in City's Plans?

So, Galliani said in the presser that they made an offer for Mario and it was rejected.

End of story...

Until the next night, City calls Milan back up and accepts the offer (without the offer being raised or changed)

There's been talk of "why would they sell him" but there seems to be some underlying truths coming out of the woodwork. I admit, a January sale seemed strange... There was either an anticipation of a big signing on City's part (which failed) or they really didnt want him on the squad anymore.

Thoughts?

It was all good apart from him moaning he
wasn't allowed to drive how he'd have liked .
It does highlight his immaturity somewhat.

I thought he was saying the weather wasn't good for the way he likes to drive.
ie: a convertable.

I thought he said he didn't like "the way you drive". Let's face it there are some idiots on the road (though it can't be that much better in Milan)

My mistake then.......Sorreee!!

Lol, just my interpretation of it, you may well be right. Maybe he likes to drive around with a dildo on his head.

-- Fri Feb 01, 2013 7:57 pm --

From all reports, I'd say he couldn't drive a hard prick into a bucket of lard.

If I wanted "underlying truths" the last person I'd go to would be Galliani

I don't disagree, but if he's coming out and saying what he's saying.. it's likely partially true. He doesn;t really need to lie in this case, as we got our man.

Let's just ASSUME what he's saying is true.

Why reject, then come back next day and say "let's do it".. especially when the coach still wanted him here

Re: Mario - Not in City's Plans?

If they are not in your first team plans, or are not young and have the potential to be in the future. You need to sell, or you end up paying massive wages for players who give you nothing. Wish him all the best but was never going to be a regular first team player.

We need to replace in the summer with better, Cavani, Falco or Suárez in that order for me.

That's what medicals are for.

Re: Mario rebuffs the Sun!

Its sad to think that his 2.5 years were hindered by a bullying press pack full of shitcunts who enjoyed nothing more than having a snide pop at a 20/21/22 year old at every opportunity.

moving back to Italy must feel like a huge weight off his shoulders, he will shine
