Goodbye Martin.

I like the player as he wears our shirt and has put some in great performances, good goals scored but I dont think he is good enough to be top 4 with a view to push for the title. I dont think he is the only one in that boat though.

Petrov isn't an amazing player but he tries to make things happen when he's on the ball, why on earth we're signing Championship wingers and letting established players leave is beyond me.

Don't forget foreign.

Of course...'cos no-one has ever criticised anyone English like Richards.

It's amazing that so many of the 'Bluemoon Opinion Police' are quick to defend players despite evidence to the contrary. If Petrov is so highly valued then where is his new contract ? Obviously Mancini is a hater too.

This is just like the Robinho saga, and they were all proved wrong there too....although they'll have you believe that it was our opinions on here that hounded him out of the club.

yeah, think he's off. I did hear two people in The Townley on Sat after the game argueing about him, one was saying he's as bad as Robinho for not trying. Personally I think top players play well in 7-8 games out of 10, then the next lot play well in 5 out of 10. Petrov (and Robinho for that matter) play well in 3-4 out of 10, enough said!

You've just pulled those numbers out of your arse. When was Ireland's last good game by the way or Bellamy's ???

A Championship winger that is Premiership class.

Cant stand him, never liked Petrov, offers very little, slows down attacking set-ups, one footed, trouble causing mard, fails to go past players 90 per cent of the time, hopefully he wont be in the team much with Johnno arriving, good riddance when he goes

You obviously missed the Wolves game where he played one of the passes of the season off his right foot.

What else have you missed? Do you watch games with your eyes open?

Wrong ! He played against us when we got beat by Boro 8-1 for starters...

He made 32 appearances for Boro last season...26 in the league and I believe they were a Premiership side then.

Bluem0ng talking shit as usual.

Looked really good in his first season and still plays well now and again but you cant afford to have players in your team that dont tackle. Thanks Rigsby but I dare say you shall be gone by EOS!!

I like and respect the player (though conversely I agree with a lot of the negative comments made about him thus far. He does have significant flaws in his game).
But BluemOng you cannot seriously defend him from the charge of being one-footed based upon one single pass he has made! Surely. Petrov is the most one-footed player I have ever seen!!!
Playing him on the right is just ridiculous. If we're going to keep him and if he is going to contribute to our progress then he HAS to be played on the left-wing zinging in reliable service for our forward line.
