My mum suffers regularly. Is a bit of a pissheads illness? cos she likes a drink
Probably the best advice, mistook my first flare up with a knock as it was after playing a match on a Saturday, avoided allopurinol as I didn't want to be taking tablet's every day, finally went on it, 100mg (1 tablet ) a day and never looked back, still get twinge now and again but not a full blown attack..It’s horrific, I take allopurinol every day and luckily I haven’t had a flare up for a few years. Usually affects my big toe but before I knew i had gout I spent a night in hospital with an unbearable pain in my knee
Is it hereditary? my dad suffered from it, i’ve had few attacks last couple yrs? its agony!! i like a beer but wouldn’t consider myself a huge drinker? neither was my late dad, i’d say i eat fairly healthy as wellMy Dad had it, I always thought he was being a big baby. Apparently not.
