Graeme Souness

I’ve always liked him as a pundit and he was a no nonsense player who was not afraid to leave one on his opponent although if he played today I’m sure he would have adapted to the style of play in the current rules and he was a leader on the pitch . I have nothing but admiration for him at 70 and having triple bypass years ago to achieve this feat for a good cause is incredible. I hope he returns to the screens soon as apparently saying football is a man’s game gets you sacked whereas spitting from a car window at a young girl does nothing but enhance your career on this shitshow of a broadcaster. Having pricks like Reddy and Kaveh as experts in their field just makes me glad I’ve binned sky sports off.Hope he gets another opportunity on another station to give us his expertise as he’s one of the few that I take any notice of.well done for all your efforts to raise money for this cause and highlighting it. If I saw him out I’d buy him a beer and shake his hand as all these other twats think by giving their valuable time it entails playing a celebrity game at the swamp just to raise their profile and nothing else. Sorry for the rant

Well said. Absolutely spot on.

Well done to Souness. Unbelievable achievement all things considered.

I was fortunate to see him play at the end of his career. Still a great player and was respected by all.

As far as his future goes there have already been talks of him returning to his boyhood favourites. I was hoping as the new DoF but reports indicate it would be more an ambassadorial role.

Here’s what Souness says on it….

Souness, speaking in his Daily Mail column, has said: "I've had a meeting with James Bisgrove, who's the new chief executive at Rangers, about the potential prospect of me going back in some capacity to help the club. Given that I'm a Rangers supporter from being a boy, if I thought I could be of help in any small way, it's something I would think very seriously about."
