A truly fantastic player and individual. Many years ago I was involved in organising a charity event for sick children. The keynote speaker cancelled at the last minute and we contacted Graeme in desperation because he was on the patch. He went out of his way to attend and speak off the cuff at the lunchtime event even though the team he was managing at the time (Backburn) had a game that evening. He had less than 24 hours notice and didnt want any publicity just to give his time. And that is not the only good deed he has done in my neck of the woods over the years. To make things better his wife and family are avid City fans from South Manchester.Souness is a top bloke.
Good to hear. Fair play to him.A truly fantastic player and individual. Many years ago I was involved in organising a charity event for sick children. He could be a nasty piece of work on the pitch; there's one infamous tackle he did on an Aberdeen player (I think) while he was at Rangers. It was horrendous. But he does seem to be a sound bloke away from the hostile environment of the football pitch. And he always seemed to be one of the better pundits, not peddling some bullshit agenda against us.
