Grand Theft Auto 5

I've been into gaming but not for a few years and haven't played GTA at all.

What amazes me though is how little these games have advanced from the mid-1990s.

From what I've seen of GTA it isn't much if any better than Quake II from circa 1996 or Kingpin A Life of Crime of around 1998/99.

The graphics don't seem that much more impressive nowadays either despite all the PS3 and XBox hype and the fact PCs are 20 times more powerful now than then.

Yep, did it. Finally lost the big V. 1st thing I did, straight into the strip club, flirted and touched when the doorman wasn't looking and bosh. She's now my 'booty call'. Filthy minx. Game over for me that. What's the point in doing anything else?

Managed to get a couple of hours on it. Highlights so far
Riding on a rollercoaster
Picking up a customer on a taxi mission, , driving him half way round the map then him running off without paying
Smoking a spliff then having to shoot aliens
Doing a drive by at 3am while listening to This Is The Rythm Of The Night on the radio

Haven't played a GTA title since the early top-down days, but I watched a lad streaming his first go at GTA5 to decide whether it might be worth a look.

The humour's very good, it looks great and it seems like decent value in terms of game time for money. Might shop around and pick it up once the initial frenzied demand has died down.

I can't see the difference either

Not being funny Gazc but Quake II and Kingpin were a lot more impressive than the 1997 version of GTA.

There really isn't that much to chose between them and the current versions relatively speaking.

I went up to Mt.Chilliad and found the Parachute, but it won't let me select it on the Weapon wheel thing.
