Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka has said he would be fulfilling a 'childhood dream' if he were to play in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports in Germany, the 23-year-old said, 'I think everybody has a dream. Everybody has a childhood dream and that's my childhood dream. If my dream comes true, it remains to be seen. At the moment I cannot say how realistic it is.'

Xhaka has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, however there are also reports of an interest from Manchester City and their financial prowess may give them the advantage in any race for his signature.

Our financial prowess? lol

As if there aren't other reasons to join our side if the bids are equal.

If it is true do you think you would accept €50M ? Also were the quotes from him saying we'd be hard to turn down true aswell?

Actually Bayern seem to be interested in 2000 different players according to the press. Xhaka does not really match the role in Bayern's system. And for me he is not good enough for a starting spot either. So I doubt that. Great player and leader for a medium sized club. I guess - Liverpool was mentioned - he would match well as a 6 in Klopp's system as it is similar to what Gladbach plays.
