Grealish house raid

I wouldn’t quite go that far ;) but yes RM is an acquired taste, and not to my liking.

Pep’s comments made me chuckle a bit because he wears his blue RM at most games. He doesn’t even use social media and must be on a few people’s radar - he has at least two RM watches worth a combined 500k+:

The fact there’s cameras, social media (and paps if you’re famous) everywhere nowadays - and watches/jewellery are so easy to conceal and move - is a big problem if you’re a high net worth individual with a decent watch or jewellery collection.
With these very limited editions, who would buy the stolen ones, if there are say 10 in the world, I’m sure it’s known who owns them so when one goes missing and then suddenly pops up somewhere else then its pretty sure it’s knicked. Who would buy one, knowing full well it’s not exactly hard to hide when wearing and surely the point is you are wanting to show it off? Get an Apple Watch much cheaper.

Very hard to move on
Any luxury watch if stolen will go on a register
Then you can’t get it serviced or repaired

Bono tells a story of the big house on the hill.

In Ireland (England), people walk past it and wave a fist, saying, “That fucker!”

In America, people walk past it and point, saying, “One day, that’ll be me!”

Sums up the mentality and beliefs of the two places. As a young Brit, I felt about like the Yank, but expressed myself as the Brit.

Today, I definitely have the Yank mentality about such things.

If not me, who? If not me, why? The only other question is “How?” and then it’s working to achieve it.

Jack has earned every penny for every bauble he owns, so no problems there. The problem is that everybody knows who he is and that his gaffe is probably flush. That requires protecting from scrotes who don’t want to earn it the hard way and would rather just take it.

As someone said, I doubt they’d find £1M of bling at Rodri’s pad!
Yep, that's sums up the difference between yanks and Brits. The media are a big reason, they build people up and then when they are successful, seek to destroy them. Jade Goody being perhaps the best example. But also, we grow up learning the attitude Bono describes from our mentors.

She isnt the best example tbf. She made a **** of herself all by her own doing

Is this Jacks house that's For Sale?

Looks like it.

It’s a real shame for him if the burglary has affected him and his family that badly that he now wants to sell the house.

Probably not his biggest concern but I’d imagine the whole exercise will end up costing him a fortune.
