It's disappointing that 3 years after we bought him for 100 million he's stepped down to a team that has struggled for a few seasons. At his age he should be playing for a top six team, either here or in another top European league.
Personally I'd have preferred two 50 million players, but he can't be blamed for the transfer fee. Also, we only have ourselves to blame if we didn't play him where he plays best.

i said it in the other thread about him
and i'll say it in this thread...

he did this

none of you moaners will ever get close to doing something like this.
Slightly better picture :-) worth the transfer fee alone just for this, if we never won another game again this picture alone sums up the bust and boom of supporting City over the last 60 years, before this the MEN,s centre spread of Tuearts overhead kick in 76 was as close as it got to this.

Hope it all turns out well for Jack at Everton.

I maintain Grealish is better at ball retention. You just can't get the ball off him without fouling him. He's strong and got a brilliant first touch but he's too slow when running with the ball to do any damage.
You really need to go look up Nasri's ball retention, easily one of the best.

However, I think Jack draws fouls more from it due to his ability to taunt the opposition when he's on the ball, so I would give him that but when it comes to purposeful and productive ball retention? Nasri takes it.

Jack Grealish’s post-Treble celebrations weren’t just a party — they were a defining cultural moment for the club. From open-top bus parades to tram shenanigans, champagne showers, and his full embrace of a ‘hedonist’s hedonist’ persona, it’s the kind of story fans will tell their grandchildren. Will miss him mucho. Hope the club names a bar after him.

Not sure I agree mate, other than I suppose I could have extracted the second sentence of the second paragraph and the third paragraph and made them part of the same paragraph, but I’d say the way that reads is that the third paragraph follows directly from the second sentence of the second paragraph.

I’m never going to claim perfection with my English. I frequently make mistakes, as we all do when we are furiously typing, and I’ll happily hold my hands up when I’ve made a mistake (except when identified by @johnnytapia ) but I think it was clear what I was saying there. And certainly when someone posts something unexpected or controversial I think we should all read it back carefully before jumping to conclusions, although again I’m not saying I’m perfect in that regard either.

Anyway, it’s no biggie (despite the length of this post!) :-)
Henry VII agrees with all this ;-)

Like who exactly? Which players cost as much and have the same input (or lack of) as Jack? This whole thing is starting to seem personal with some of the posters here, much better players have been sold and the world didn't end.

This is football. You want results, He didn't step up, he's deadweight, Pep realised he couldn't keep up with the charade and decided to cut him off. That's all there is to it.
Thank God for a sensible post

We have plenty of legends and cult hero’s. But I think he, Bernardo & Jonny Stones are this generations ‘cult’ hero’s.

Just spent 2 months explaining to my 5 year old why he can’t have Grealish on his new kit.

I loved Nasri as a player, he had a higher pass completion rate (just) than David Silva. Shame he didn't have David's humility.
Crying shame we never saw Nasri under Pep, if I recall correctly he was an absolute menace and in top shape that pre season under Pep, before going to Sevilla on loan and never being seen again.

We are very close to someone calling him greatest city player of all time ahead of Say Kev or Silva.
We are very close probably kne half decent game from him away from that which won’t happen at city

I don't know why this pattern of revisionism seems to be a thing with most fans here now, just the other day on the Stones thread someone suggested Stones should have gotten the Balon Dór over Rodri. Madness
