Great news for Oakie ref hip replacement

In the last 2 weeks I`ve attended there 4 times for myself and once for my sister.Parking is a nightmare Scotty.
And yet the new staff car park is half the size of cheshire, but never anywhere close to being full. Madness.
I don't know your personal circumstances regarding family, etc, but I only live up the road from the hozzy, if you need anything while you're in just pm me.
Good luck

WOW just got a call from my local Hospital (Leighton, Crewe) to see if I am available for my hip op. on Monday 9th December.
Apparently I was pushed to the front of the queue due to the time scale of waiting 16/17 months to see a Consultant and the severity of my arthritis and bone on bone issues.
After seeing the Consultant only a few days ago, he said it would be another 6-8 months before I would be seen.
Does/did anyone else get/got a feeling of pure joy, on hearing this sort of news, especially with it being quite a major operation ?
Might be able to get on the dance floor on New Years Eve. ;)
One delighted Oakie.
Just what we need - another thread the teenagers find highly relatable............. ;-)

Looking from afar (obviously), it seems like a case of "too many chiefs, not enough indians". It's been accused of being top heavy for years.
The drs and nurses have left in droves for their own reasons, we need more obviously but to tie the two things together shows a lack of understanding just how the nhs is run . There are plenty of shows following the staff in the hospitals if people are really interested

They have a hefty work load and are doing their best
