Greater Manchester Politics Thread

I'm hoping Starmer is more palatable to people with centralist views compared to Corbyn/momentum.

The biggest issue is the SNP though, with their grasp on Scotland, it will be hard for labour to ever command a large majority again. But even regular Tory voters will struggle to justify a vote for Boris based on his first year as PM. It's been an utter shambles from start to finish.

Which is exactly why they will turf him our once they can pin Brexit and the Covid cock up on him

It is a Wetherspoon's issue if Wetherspoons and it's customers are not following the rules. There is a standing threat of a 10k fine or threat of closure for establishments don't comply.

Maybe you should phone the police and dob them in. Civic duty and all that

it’s amazing how people see the point yet choose to ignore it

it is not just Wetherspoons it’s loads of places
And it’s not their problem it’s yours and mine

Not in my expereicne. But putting that to one side, going into Tier 3 won't make a blind bit of difference because places like that will remain open

Maybe have a circuit break and close the lot for a few weeks?

Either way, I think it's all probably too late and we are fucked anyway

Take responsibilty for the Goverment closing your business and (at best) putting you on 66% income....

Fucking Bastards

How far are we away from having kids up chimeny's?

He doesn't want to nationalise childern but they are nationalising income by shutting otherwise viable businesses. I don't want to derail the thread but how many people were cheering Johnson 12 months ago because of Brexit(he had nothing else) are now justifying to themselves why thier kids are going hungry - will this move the needle?
