Greatest Atmosphere ever at Maine Road

Charlton promotion was unbelievable and I took a minute to take it in and cried

but king Colin's comeback was something you cannot explain to people who were not there

Just had a quick look and it was our 9th league match of the season and only the first 2 had larger crowds, the opening day match against Plymouth and a local derby v Blackburn the following 6 matches had lower than the Huddersfield match.
Sorry, just checked; I thought it was 17,000 for the Huddersfield game- if you can pay any real attention to any attendance figure under Swales.

When we invaded the pitch I caught my jeans on the fencing and went arse over tit, there was footage of it on the news sadly lost in time now

I ripped my kecks climbing over the fence when we played spurs in the cup, not my finest hour. Cant recall a game at Maine Rd that was rammed like it was for the Charlton game. Brilliant atmosphere that day.
