Greatest individual performance

This has come up a few times and the one that always springs to mind is Wanchope at Leeds. He was immense that day. He ran Leeds centre backs ragged by himself (Matteo and Woodgate?). It's when Leeds had a very good team as well

Aguero in the cup last year - Probably the best performance I've ever seen from a lone striker. He played like he was 6'4" tall and absolutely dominated United's defence.

He was absolutely sensational.
I have to agree 100 per cent with this. Honourable mentions for Bernarbia at Hillsborough — simply sensational. Joe Hart at Spurs in the first game of two seasons ago was a fabulous display, as was his performance at home to Dortmund. Quinny's perfect hat trick (right foot, left foot, head) away at Palace and Dzeko improving on that feat with a fourth goal at Spurs. The Goat every time he played against Burnley. Peter Beagrie in that thriller at home to Newcastle years ago, think we came from behind and won 2-1 and the unlikely match winner was Dave Brightwell, but Beagrie ran them ragged.
Also, what about Mancini in the 1-0 home derby last season? Outsmarted Shakin Bacon all ends up on the field of play, and then got in the old pisscan's face when he started moaning and bleating on the touchline. I knew then that the title was ours

Ireland v Hull 5-1
Elano v Everton at Goodison 2-1
Sinclair v Evra 3-1
Tevez v Utd in the CC games

The Petrov performance v Newcastle was 3-1

All my other favourites have been mentioned

Two other notable mentions;

Balotelli V Germany (only watched on Telly)

and one against us,

Berbatov when he played for Spurs in the CC when they went down to 10 men. I was gutted and the only one left at the end of the game within 5 rows, I stayed to applaud him off. The twat.

yaya v united at wembley was in my humble opinion, the greatest midfield performance i have ever seen.

hart v dortmund, the greatest goal keeping display ever.

Walsh v Spuds 5-2. Simply unplayable that day.

The thread got me thinking about opposition performances and I remember a few games against Southampton when Le Tissier seemed to be playing us on his own. Berbatov beat us on his own in a cup match v Spurs when they were down to 10 men. Zola, Merson, Henry and Gullit also put in performances at MR that live long in the memory.

Just remembered Anelka v Everton.
