Manchester City (2) Vs Liverpool (1)
3rd Jan 2019, Etihad Stadium, Manchester
The best game I have seen in my life. The intensity, the tension, the stakes, the teams, the home support - everything was just top notch. The dippers were a worthy adversary to us that day and played their part in the spectacle. This was their only loss that season, so it was a worthy title decider. We absolutely had to win that match and everyone (players, staff and supporters) played their role magnificently.
The match had everything. The best goal-line clearance in the history of football, the most hard working performance by a player in a match (hats off to you Bernie, he ran some 14 kms that day, he was everywhere), Sane & Kun with two absolute beauties, Vinnie with a trademark crunching tackle on the crybaby Salah and then mocking him mercilessly for crying, Ferna with a masterclass in the defensive midfield position, Raheem leaving that c**t Robertson for dead on the run, the super tense finish of the match, Flopp moaning again in the post match conference.
We beat a very very good side that day and it proved to be the title decider after the dippers were again left behind by 1 point (or 11 mm).
