Its the Labour party of Greece

I thought it would be the Labour Party's fault somehow.
It invariably is.
Because Greece was a happy land when the fascist generals ruled in the past.
Then those nasty lefties came in with their wild and fanciful notions of an improved standard of living for the poorest in society.
The crazy,ouzo-quaffing loons.

Alright mate calm yourself it was a light hearted joke i dont want you to blow up over it
I wouldn't even know what party rules in Greece. On serious note though if you max your credit card with no way of paying it its going to bite you on your ass

Did my post suggest impending explosion?
All my posts are a lighthearted joke mate.
I can tell you don't know your PASOK from your PKK.
But I find the general level of ignorance and bigotry on here somewhat amusing.
Economic advice dispensed as gospel by those who wonder where the money for their next Frosty Jack is coming from, but know Greece well because they spent a pissed week in Faliraki once.
As Bill Hicks said,'it's irony, but on a base level'.

What a truly depressing parody thread.
So you like Greece then.

I do mate.
It's a beautiful country,with warm,friendly people.
But now I have been made aware by the Bluemoon brains trust that they are a bunch of workshy, socialist scroungers,I clearly need to revise my opinion.
I empathise with your disappointment.

We should have broken it more gently.

so there's a political vacuum between the fascist military junta of the late 60's/early 70's & pasok today?

the problem is that virtually all the politicians of both mainstream parties (pasok & nea demokratia) are as bent as fuck & have been lining their nests with proceeds from kickbacks & tax dodging in illegal offshore accounts for decades. papandreou has (legally) taken out dual american citizenship but the question is why would the prime minister of one country want or need dual citizenship of another? answers on a postcard please.

btw i'm with you in loving greece & its people & i've spent a long time there over many years but the chronic corruption & incompetence of the main socialist party (pasok) drives around 10% of the electorate to vote for kke (the greek communist party) at every election.

But while we make jest, the debt is raki-ing up.
Ouzo to say where it will end?
They should have retsina it coming.
We can only home the Yanks stay out of it,rather than wading in,bouzouki's blazing...

Well it is all very chucklesome but the fact remains that yet another socialist nirvana is going tits up and we have all got to pay for it. Portugal next, another brilliantly administered lefty paradise that has been on the piss with everybody else's cash since joining the Eu. Can't wait until Italy passes round the begging bowl, now that really will be a laugh.
Bring it on.
