The BBC clearly doesn't have a clear policy of behaviour.
What Roan said is OK because it might to true.
What Wallace said is not OK because it was meant in humour ? ( I don't really know what he said )
You asked why Roan didn’t get sacked and my answer is that what he said was probably true.
I guess the fact he wasn’t strictly broadcasting for the BCC at the time may have been a peripheral consideration too, even though he was unquestionably at work.
If the Leicester chairman was sleeping with one of the other passengers, and what Roan said was therefore true, what is the basis for him being dismissed?
