That's awful and I hope he's ok. Sadly for every Kevin there are also dozens of rape victims (males and females) who know their attacker still walks free. It's a tragedy all round. I also know some who I believe was falsely accused of rape and he was talked into pleading guilty by his barrister and served time. But i also know three women who have been raped and countless others who have been assaulted (myself included). The whole situation is a mess.
 
I’m waiting for the breaking stories about pop idol or whatever is was called about how the contestants were treated badly and made fun of by the judges. The world has gone fucking mad are all these complaining scousers.

Sorry to hear you were assaulted, it must leave a terrible impression on you.

Kevin will be about 70 now but no one has heard from him for years, my guess is he moved away for a clean break.

You're right of course there's too many predators walking free, some of those who receive lenient custodial sentences are released too early and attack again. It's not easy to police but those in charge are quite often culpable in assisting these criminals.

Google is amazing isn’t it, huge payouts and no doubt more to come, yet you’ve not answered why the woman who cried wolf hasn’t had to compensate or serve jail time for ruining a man’s career and life!
Maybe you shouldnt be presuming everything you read about individuals until they’ve had a proper hearing. I’ve nit doubt Gregg said some wrong stuff but they are words but I suppose you won’t be happy until he’s topped himself after a witch-hunt.

Theres actually a really good BBC podcast about the X Factor that I'd recommend listening to. Was genuinely pretty fucked up what a lot of the contestants went through.

That’s very true. Thing is, it’s just as true of the people that feel aggrieved about the treatment Wallace is getting as it is about those criticising him. There’s a lot of projection going on and very little empathy.

Sums up society nowadays though!
 
FOCs will remember Hughie Green hosting Double You Money. Female contestants who granted him sexual favours before the show were given the answers in return.
In one of these encounters he fathered Paula Yates.

Unsurprisingly, the papers have massively misrepresented what she actually said. She published a book in 2023 that included a chapter on how continually unchecked sexist and toxic behaviour made her become disillusioned with the entertainment industry. In it, she referenced Wallace's behaviour on MasterChef as an example of this. She raised it with the production company and decided she could no longer be bothered with the industry.

So, she hasn't piled on without saying a word; she flagged it at the time and wrote about it more than 18 months ago, long before these latest allegations surfaced. She also didn't say he was the reason she quit telly; she said his behaviour (among the behaviour of many others in the industry) contributed to a decision she was already contemplating making.

Lovely tale but completely untrue.
Elaine Smith/Heller Toren was not a contestant on his show. She was the wife of his then best friend, Jess Yates.
