Growing Chillies

When will they start bearing fruit? Can't wait to see pics of that (if you decide to post any of course).

I'll post pics mate for sure. So far I've got 2 scotch bonnets, 1 naga morich and 3 Bhut Jolokias with flowers on, and my Trinidad Scorpions are just sprouting now. The bhuts are loaded with flowers. If the flowers don't drop I should have a good crop. Fruits should develop in the next week or so I reckon.

7 pods, fatalii, douglah, brain, butch t, raja, jonah, savina, birds eye, paper lantern and penis pepper are showing good signs.

Go for it pal, It's not too challenging. Learnt a lot myself about it over the last few months. Me, JOTS or blueinkwell should be able to give you any tips.

If you need to know what you need and where to get it, I'll PM you the various websites. Most of the stuff like compost, canes, plant pots and such you can get from B&Q.

3rd year of doing chillis, now this year has been the most productive

Got about 15 plants all doing fantastic. Most have started fruiting now

Will post pics later. Anyone know the best thing to upload pics from iphone?

Nice one mate. Might just go for a couple of plants in a planter to begin with and see how it goes.

I spent all last year growing Chilli plants in my conservatory, had loads of fruit from Scotch Bonnets and Cayennes, but i seriously found it time consuming, and the area the plants took up did not warrant the yield. My local Pakistani shop sells stuff so cheap apart from Nagas-15p each :(
Had plenty of aphids on the plants, they attracted the spiders which was quite funny, didn't spoil the fruit though.

Chile plants need a green house, at least to get them started and then lots of love and regular watering. I've got multiple jalapeno's, habanero's and serano's. just started harvesting...try pickling, Jamie Oliver has a good simple way to go
