I went to a Food & Drink festival in Huddersfield the other week. Naturally, I was enticed to the Chilli Jam Stall.....

A load of different strength ones displayed in front of me with free cracker samplers to have a dip with.

Being the 'man' I am, I went straight in for the one with the warning signes. Naga Bhut Jolokia - put a good splodge on my cracker and wolfed it in one.

Tasted beautiful, until it began to to dissolve my throat and chest for the next hour an half and no number of Cider Slush puppies were making a difference.

Fucking ridiculously hot.

Now you see, call me old fashioned but I'd have started at the bottom and worked my way up! ( cue pic of Kenneth Williams ;-) )

Bluemoon's roving reporter, hot from the chilli fest!

It was ok, not enough for a full day out.
1 stall selling chilli plants. 1 selling ciders, another cask beer and 1 selling chilli vodka.

Go next year, but con the wife into driving.

A couple selling cheese and a couple more selling sauces and chilli jams etc.

Bought some coconut & chilli sauce, a nice hot cheese sauce and a jar of phillipino chillies with garlic in oil, nice.
Try this site <a class="postlink" href="http://www.marsh-trading.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.marsh-trading.com</a>.

One thing I learned from today.

Never go tasting chillies and it's products with a f@@king big ulcer on the roof of your mouth.

( I cried!)

Nice report and nice tip about getting wifey to drive. Looking forward to next year's festival already.

Therewas one at Tatton today. Might be worth finding out when the next one is. There's a contact number on the link. (Don't think it's the same as the other one)
