Guardiola fined £20,000 for wearing yellow ribbon (p140)

For all the blues who say it not our fight I for one will support anyone who is locked up without trial because of there political views.

It's don't think it's a case of it not being our fight. Anyone who genuinely cares about this should get involved if that's how they feel. It's more a case of, would these people choose to wear a yellow ribbon tomorrow if Pep was Arsenal's manager? If the answer to that question is no then i genuinely don't think the gesture would be much appreciated by Pep or those currently sat in prison. Why have lots of City fans waited until now to start caring about this when it's been in the news for ages? Would be pretty interested to hear the views of some Catalan people on this actually. I guess any extra exposure for the cause could be seen as helpful but I don't believe that's why a lot of fans are talking about wearing the ribbons. Many are talking about it being as simply being an up yours to the FA.

It's to support peps right to wear it,the fa are threatening free speech, they are making it personal, fans back their manager,if he has to stop then we will do it for him,it'll be mentioned every game why blues are wearing yellow and keep the cause in the news,it's not our cause to fight its peps and we back him,not that i think he will stop,it will over shadow whatever we win if he is in the stands but he won't stop i think

Most of us just want to support our managers views help him with his cause what's wrong with that, we need to show what he means to us and the club.

I don't really think it matters how or why awareness comes about if I was locked up without trial I would want as many people as possible to know about it. If Pep ends up getting bans for refusing to back down do we as supporters of the club keep quite and not show our support. We don't know yet what Peps response will be but he does come across as a man of principle. I don't think this is our fight but the FA might of just made it our fight.

Agreed and he is our manager not Arsenals, wearing it at the game may be just an up yours to the FA, who were wrong to punish him for something he strongly believes in(it's a good cause too is it not? I don't get the FA's reasoning)... and I don't think he'd mind at all if people who wouldn't have taken an interest in supporting their cause have done so because he is City's manager, the more the merrier surely?

Read the replies Catalans welcome us supporting Pep and the fact that the situation is getting coverage

For me Its actually a trivialising and hijacking of a serious cause to stick two fingers up at the Fa. Pep is not stupid he knew eventually he would receive some sort of punishment, he may even enjoy the extra publicity it provokes. Each to their own though.
