Munich also happens to be a beautiful city only a short drive from the Alps. If I had to choose between there and anywhere in England, I know which one I would go for. Interestingly though, Pep apparently speaks no German, so he will have to take some lessons before arriving there.

Think he's chosen a bit of an easy option to be honest. He will likely win the league at least every other year, good run in the CL, probably the odd domestic cup, but whether that's any more than they would have won with any other competent manager in charge I suppose we'll never know. Still, if his plan is to add another big club to his CV with the least risk of damaging his reputation before moving to the Premier League, he could have done much, much worse. (Cynic, moi?).

Well, let's wait and see. I was never comfortable with the idea of him coming here, one stint at the world's best club, handed the best players on the planet, with a considerable budget to improve any shortcomings and although successful could well struggle once out of this comfort zone.
I'd love him to fail at Bayern, the Rags of Germany who love to lecture about FFP and maintain the cosy cartel.
