Guardiola goes to Bayern

In my opinion this will make or break Guardiola.
Villanova has won a lot of respect at Barca and many are saying that they are a better team this season than the year they won the League and Champions league.
At Barca, Guardiola bombed out those with an 'ego' so it will be interesting to see how he deals with the headstrong players like Robben and Ribery.
He'll most likely bin em like he did Ronaldinho and Ibrahimovich
, but he won't have Xavi and Iniesta loading the bullets for Messi.
He is a manager who works 24/7 at his job, but who also felt he needed a rest from managing the best team in the world.
It'll be interesting to see if he needs another break at the end of this contract?

Robben maybe but he won't bin Ribery, he is in the form of his life and is Bayern's best player this season without a doubt.

Interesting to see that Pep signed the contract on December 20th too but it's only just been announced.

Bit of an odd one. Bayern don't strike me as being a team suited to 'tika taka'. In pure footballing terms Chelsea would be much easier to mould into Barca MKII (but of course he'd have Roman hovering over him), same goes for City.

Surprised.

That's what Bayern are playing this season, very fast, quick passing one touch football.

Take it your happy, I had mixed feelings but if we're going to replace he would of been my first choice. I think our owners see bobby for the long haul. But we will see

I have to say that yes I'm pleased with the appointment.
I'd have been happy enough to see Heynckes stay on but he'll be 68 in summer and wants to retire at the end of the season.
With the current Bayern squad there is a lot of young talent such as Shaqiri, Kroos, Müller, Alaba, Martinez etc and a core of experienced players such as Lahm, Ribery, Schweinsteiger, Gomez, Robben and so on.
I can definately see Pep getting the best out of this squad.

This thread reminds me of going to work the day after the lottery is won by someone else. The day before, there was hope and everyone dreaming, and now everyone just says "Nah, I'm better off without all that money anyways."
