Yeah good shout that with Isco, because I was trying particularly to remember and consider old links and rumours - weird how often those deals come alive again or it turns out you've been talking a couple of years.Realistic and quite good. Switch Isco for Cutihno and you have a proper team. Then add Laporte.

Can't agree though Clichy has played great recently and Sagna has been as good as anyone in our squad overall this season. Yes we need backup, yes they need to be replaced in a season or so due to age but this season our centre mid, centre backs and back up striker have been much bigger issuesThis thread makes me laugh nobody is strengthening where we are weakest ...

Have a feeling that Guardiola will try and use 3 at the back, in terms of Sagna being left out it could be anyone really, if there is really going to be a cull of players, he can only have 25 and 8 need to be home grown, so if he is intent on bringing in his own players that will mean a few leave, it was just a matter age and style, having said that though I could see Guardiola using Sagna as his Abidal at City.a lot of centre backs

On second thoughts, I wouldn't mind Stones as he can play RB and CB, same goes for Laporte on the other side of defence. I think this is Pep's plan, to buy defenders who can play along the defence and offer more versatility when we get injuries.
Think Pogba will be too expensive so I would be happy with Xhaka or Thiago instead.
Shocked to see people only having 2 strikers in the squad, if Aguero gets injured which is more than likely throughout the season surely Iheanacho can't be expected to lead the line for us? He's still only a kid. Griezmann is an absolute necessity for me as he can play as a lone striker and as a forward/winger. Amazing player.

I personally think Laporte and Stones can be used there when we have injuries. I personally would like Ricardo Rodriguez for left back, but would rather prioritise getting a player like Griezmann to team up with Aguero. Would be unstoppable.
Plus seeing as Sterling has proved not good enough so far, when Aguero is injured Griezmann can play as a lone striker and can also play as an inside forward as well which would suit Pep's philosophy perfectly. Kill 2 birds with one stone with the Griezmann signing.
