If we line up like this next season I'd be very happy:

Hart
Denayer Otamendi Laporte Clichy
Gundogan Dinho
De Bruyne
Aubamayang Aguero Sterling

I think we could definitely do with another goalscorer... We only have kun and kdb who score with any kind of regularity, yet we're not being linked to anyone who could provide a few more goals besides aubemyang so hopefully the interest in him is legit

GK: Hart, Caballero, Gunn
RB: Sagna, Denayer
CB: Kompany, Laporte*, Otamendi, Mangala, (Denayer)
LB: Rose*, Clichy
CM: Gundogan, Fernandinho, Fernando, Delph, Manu Garcia
CAM: Silva, KDB, Nasri
LW: Sterling, (KDB)
RW: Aubameyang*, Navas
ST: Aguero, Ihenacho, (Aubameyang)

Lots of competition for places especially in the attacking positions. Hope we promote Manu Garcia and maybe one or two others like Angelino, Maffeo and Barker.

We've already signed Gundogan and Demichelis is leaving so as it stands we have 18 foreign players for our Champions League squad which is 1 too many. Denayer returning doesn't effect our numbers as he would be the only club produced player in our squad. We have 4 association trained players in the squad in Hart, Clichy, Delph and Sterling.

If we sign Laporte, Stones, Aubameyang and Sane then we need to ship 4 out as Stones is association trained - but Yaya, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Mangala and Bony are all likely departures. Means we would only 2 specialist full backs in the squad.

It would appear that City have briefed that Fernando and Navas are staying but Nasri is leaving.

As for sub keeper either Willy is staying or he will be sold and most likely replaced by a foreign keeper.

In terms of squad break down if the above happens we would have 5 association trained players in Hart, Clichy, Stones, Delph and Sterling

14 foreign players in Willy/New keeper, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Laporte, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Fernando, De Bruyne, Silva, Navas, Sergio, Aubameyang and Kelechi.

That would give us two spots to play with to fill 3 positions- left back, right back and centre midfielder.

If the above plays out I could see Delph being sacrificed as we would already have our 4 association trained players. Unless there is another surprise departure but it's hard to see who that could be.

Hart/Ederson

Denayer/Sagna/Kompany/Otamendi/Stones/Laporte/Clichy

Fernando/Delph/Fernandinho/Gundogan/Silva/De Bruyne

Sane/Sterling/Navas/Aubameyang/Iheanacho/Aguero

I do think we'll surely go for a top class left back but we haven't been linked to any as far as I'm aware so I haven't put one in the there as it'd just be a stab in the dark.

No need to register Kelechi though.

Not convinced about the three at the back ideas!

If we're to get both Laporte and Stones I can't see us benching kompany when he's fit hence why I reckon we'll play with 3 at the back

Also I'm not convinced that we'll end up spending 40 mill on stones for him to play in a midfield 3 which is another reason why I think we might play with 3 at the back
