Guidetti

so because he isn't getting first team football for the 4th best team in the country you don't think he'll get first team football anywhere else?

No what i mean andouble is that he will get first team football but he want get as much, as he thinks if he goes to one of the big clubs he think he may do, like milan or bayern or somebody along them line he just wont get alot of 1st team football. If he does then i wish him the best in the future. With tevez potentially leaving he could of been 4th choice striker doesnt sound exciting but he would get games.

Sturridge all over

No. It was about the money with Sturridge, this is about playing time. And it is bollocks, as Mancini's vanity project Jo failed over and over again this season, Guidetti could have been getting chances instead and would have signed a new deal so that whether he made it or not with us, we would have gotten a good fee for him. This is disappointing and "Sturridge all over" in terms of us failing to keep one of our best young players.

His loss in all honest. Looked a good player, but maybe not at the level we are going for ( a few years ago he'd be getting 1st team games by now).

He went on loan to Burnley (i think) and didn't set the world on fire. Maybe should have tried another loan deal first. Oh well. Best of luck to the lad

(scored a hat-trick the other night for EDS)

Could save us a few bob in the future if we kept him and developed him, but saying that, with our money, is there any need?

I certainly hope this isn't a sign of things to come. He's our best academy product in the past 2-3 years, and definitely the highest rated and most talked about...so if he's just allowed to leave, is there any hope for the others?

There's been a contract on the table for months, nobody "allowed" him to leave, he chose to.

The Sturridge reference comes from Guidetti's contract mention. Therefor it is the same as Sturridge!

-- Thu Apr 28, 2011 8:40 pm --

His words

"It's a good contract but simply not good enough," he told Sportbladet

Suspect he's been told how low in the pecking order he is. Most players are aware of how rated they are by the manager and clearly he does not feel he has much of a future here. Guess having Jo preferred ahead of you sort of says it all!

Having said that he is very young and some may have been tempted to stay at a big club if offered a contract as he was and fight for his chance.

You have to respect his bravery at turning down a contract....hope he doesn't live to regret it but I think he might.
