Looking for an electric guitar to add to the acoustic I've been learning on for the last two years. So I'd class myself as on the cusp of being an intermediate player.Just out of curiosity, what were we considering............? ;-)
What is your budget and preferences?Looking for an electric guitar to add to the acoustic I've been learning on for the last two years. So I'd class myself as on the cusp of being an intermediate player.
Been debating whether to get a budget/entry level electric along the lines of a Squier or Epiphone to get started... or just go for a Mexican Fender strat, or bite the bullet and get an American made one - but some say the difference in quality of the mex/USA ones wouldn't be noticeable (to me anyway).
Wouldn't say I've got a style/voice of my own on the strings yet. But eager to learn some more lead guitar techniques, etc. So I guess I'm looking for something I can learn most things on and get a sound platform to build on.
Don’t think my marriage would suffer another guitar at the moment :) I don’t need anything in particular but I would love to have a tele eventually. Have you got one to sell then? After anything in particular? might be able to help you out.

My better half has bought me a new 12 string electro-acoustic round back for my pressie. Nothing fancy, just a GearForMusic job as my simple strumming doesn’t warrant anything flash but am hoping to get some good use out of it.Come on, who's treating themselves for Christmas............
Remember playing a lovely Tanglewood acoustic once with a curved back - couldn't get on with it long-term as it was slipped off my lap.My better half has bought me a new 12 string electro-acoustic round back for my pressie. Only regret, being somewhat portly (understatement of the year), I wish perhaps I’d played safe and gone for the Dreadnought as my belly doesn’t lend itself to the round back but hey ho!!!
