Guitar Thread

I tried 3 a Fender Taylor and Martin i think, they were all great but I don't know which was the one I liked best, my mate said it was like 3 grand which seems insane.
I imagine that's the Martin - they don't come cheap on any given occasion.

Never held one for fear I would immediately credit card the twat............... :-)

My latest Martin joined the collection just before Xmas. I didn't go in with the intention of buying one but it just sort of melted into my arms. They are totally addictive. A tiny "0" size parlour

You won't regret playing one, or buying one for that matter. A total life changer

Well I have bought a guitar. Never picked one up before and had been looking at the best guitar for a beginner.
I have dj'ed for years and messed about with synths. But, everything sounds a little rigid and predictable. So I have taken the plunge.
I have had one lesson and just stringing a few chords together. Not going to lie, I am finding it kind of difficult. I am also trying to work out a comfortable position to play.
Last night though, I programmed a basic drum pattern into Ableton, sequenced A, E, G, & C on a M1 plug in and tried to play the chords over the top. I had to go about 60 BPM. But, it put a right smile on my face, even though it sounded atrocious.

Keep going it will click if you persist

Just got a Hendrix "Woodstock" model Strat, white with maple birds-eye neck.
Put it on a stand and just sit looking at it for long periods of time.
Got it to replace my Buddy Holly sunburst re-pro Strat which has been misbehaving on gigs,so I'm planning a garden burial for it,with full honours,i.e. beer and burgers and hoisting a stars and bars.

It's hard at first mate or it certainly was for me. Don't quit though most give up to soon.
